Ignoring even small issues with your home's masonry can quickly lead to rather serious problems. When water seeps in, it doesn't just stay on the surface—it silently causes damage that can impact your home's structure, air quality, and eventually your wallet and the value of your property.
Water intrusion is not your friend.

Moisture can cause paint to peel, wallpaper to bubble, plaster to crack, and flooring to warp or buckle, leading to costly interior repairs.
Water can penetrate and compromise the structural integrity of the building, leading to deterioration of wood framing, rot, and potential weakening of the overall structure.
Excess moisture creates an ideal environment for mold and mildew to flourish, leading to poor indoor air quality, potential health issues for occupants, and unpleasant odors.
Wet insulation loses its thermal resistance, leading to increased heat transfer and making it harder and more expensive to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures, thus reducing energy efficiency (think about the electrical bill)..
Uncontrolled moisture intrusion issues are significant deterrents for potential buyers and can substantially decrease the resale value of the residence.

There were hairline cracks on the stucco surface and more importantly, no drainage solution was installed.
Moisture kept accumulating behind the wall, some light mold would begin to show on the inside.
Some minor discoloration can also be seen caused by the accumulated moisture.

Barely visible from the outside, now it is very clear the type of damage that trapped moisture can trigger.
Had this moisture continue unchecked, it would have caused serious structural damage.

After replacing the rotten wood, a complete stucco system is installed.

After our repair is complete, the damage is gone yet visually there is no change.

A proper ventilation system (which was not present, as seen on the first pictures) has been installed.
If and when moisture manages to come inside the wall cavity, it will eventually drain and not cause any rot.
